Callum McDonald

Calum Macdonald started broadcasting with Isles FM 103 Radio in Stornoway in 1998 and started the Celticset around that time which has turned into his regular 1 hour weekly show of contemporary Celtic Rock, Folk and Americana music…

Over the years Callum has had the chance to interview and feature a lot of great artists and got to Interview Runrig live in the studio when they first played at HebCeltFest. For him it couldn’t get any better than that.

He has covered quite a lot of shows over the years with Isles FM including Duisg, the breakfast show and some Classic Rock shows…. Working offshore in the UK North Sea on an Oil Rig on a 2 On 2 Off Rota allowed him to do this and he loves going to Concerts and festivals in the Summer.

Callum is also an active crofter on the West side of the Isle of Lewis and holds on to traditional values and is a fluent Gaelic Speaker. He also loves Football as well and is a keen supporter of his local and national teams.
